Job Description
Role Summary:
The Operator, Straightener is responsible for performing all job requirements according to the area-specific Standard Operating Procedures. This role ensures the safe operation of all equipment, maintains a safe working environment, and produces a quality product that meets all customer requirements while supporting continuous process improvement
Roles and Responsibilities:

Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs as required.

Perform maintenance type tasks (Trade Assist) during planned and unplanned outages as required.

Read and understand all policies, procedures (including SOP’s), instructions, rules, regulations (including safety, environment & quality) associated with this position.

Respond appropriately and where required provide information, reports and communicate effectively.

Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions and calling for repairs as required.

Perform maintenance type tasks (Trade Assist) during planned and unplanned outages as required.

Ensure proper product identification and traceability throughout the process.

Provide the best possible output to ensure the best possible product.

Completion of all required paperwork and / or electronic data collection.

Ensure a straightness quality of pipe per customer, API and ARMCO specifications.
-
Effective and efficient setup, monitoring, and operating of machine.
-
Perform regularly visual and dimensional inspection of straightener rolls and replace worn rolls whenever required.

Ensure straightener rolls proper cooling.

Clean regularly scale pit.
Qualification and Education:
-
High School Certificate.
- Technician Certificate or higher is preferred, major in Mechanics.
Experience:

High School level: minimum 3 year on the job/related function

Post High School Diploma: not mandatory but preferably in a similar industry
